DEPEW, N.Y. –
BankOnBuffalo announced today it has received all federal and state regulatory agency approvals to move ahead with construction plans for its 13
th community office in Western New York to be located at 4781 Transit Road near French Road in Depew.
Approvals to establish the full-service banking SMART center facility have been granted by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the New York State Department of Financial Services and the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities.
“We are very excited to offer another SMART center location opportunity for banking clients in the eastern suburbs,” said Michael J. Noah, president of BankOnBuffalo. “We believe clients will benefit from BankOnBuffalo’s personal, customer-centric, advanced technological approach to serving their financial needs.”
The new Transit Road SMART center will occupy 2,100 square feet of space as part of a new build on the property and its design will include a café-style lobby, open teller areas, digital signage, and state-of-the-art interactive technology. This follows the pattern set by
BankOnBuffalo’s most recently constructed and renovated branches in Niagara Falls and East Amherst.
Inside the SMART center, clients will be able to access the SMART Station, featuring an Enhanced Teller Machine (ETM) to talk directly with a live teller for transactions and a Kids Zone where children can access games via a touch screen.
On the exterior, drive-up banking lanes will feature ETM access to conduct transactions with a live teller interactively before and after regular banking hours during the week and on Saturday. Construction is expected to begin in early 2022 with the branch opening anticipated for late 2022.
BankOnBuffalo is also scheduled to open a branch in the Northland Central complex on Buffalo’s East Side in March 2022. The community bank currently operates 11 branch offices in Akron, Amherst, Buffalo, Clarence, Clarence Center, Lancaster, Niagara Falls, Orchard Park, Williamsville and Wilson, as well as a private banking and wealth management service, BankOnBuffalo Investment Advisors.
Primary banking services available include consumer and business deposit accounts, real estate, commercial, industrial, residential and consumer loans and lines of credit, treasury services, online banking, mobile banking, merchant credit card processing, remote deposit, and accounts receivable handling.
