the newest bank in the Buffalo area, is currently preparing its new Williamsville branch office for a Fall 2017 grand opening as architectural renderings were released today, it was announced by Martin T. Griffith, BankOnBuffalo president.
“We are really excited as the day draws closer when the Amherst business and residential community will have access to the full menu of services and special personal approach that BankOnBuffalo provides,” Griffith said.
BankOnBuffalo’s Williamsville branch, scheduled to open in mid-November, is located at 5190 Sheridan Drive and is being converted from a previous regional bank branch. The architect is BHNT Architects, P.C. of Buffalo and the general contractor is BRD Construction of Buffalo. The 5,261 square-foot building is being leased from Amigone Funeral Home.
“Because we believe in the region’s economic vitality, we have taken the necessary time to ensure local vendors and suppliers participate in this important project,” Griffith said. “I think the Amherst and Williamsville communities will be very impressed with what this branch will offer in both exterior and interior features.”
Construction of the interior of the building has already begun. Unlike traditional bank branches, BankOnBuffalo will introduce its new concept banking center design containing a café-style lobby. The branch will feature an Internet kiosk, coffee station, open teller areas, digital signage, cash recyclers, ATM, coin counter, and drive-up banking. The interior space will also celebrate the local community’s natural beauty with a floor-to-ceiling photomural as the focal point of the new lobby, along with more than two-dozen large, color photos that bring to life all that the Williamsville area has to offer.
The Williamsville branch will be BankOnBuffalo’s third location following the opening of its initial branch office in February 2017 at the Electric Tower in Downtown Buffalo and a branch in Orchard Park scheduled to open on November 2, 2017.
