BankOnBuffalo held a groundbreaking ceremony today to launch construction on its permanent branch office in the City of Niagara Falls.
“Today, with the start of construction of BankOnBuffalo’s first branch from the ground up, we began the process to bring better banking to more Niagara Falls businesses and residents,” said Martin T. Griffith, BankOnBuffalo president. “We are very excited about opening this new branch in the next few months and building upon the initial success in Niagara County from our temporary branch office in Wheatfield.”
The new branch at 7121 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Niagara Falls will be in close proximity to many local businesses and Fashion Outlets Niagara Falls, USA. Branch opening, dependent upon the construction schedule, is slated for later in 2019.
Because this is the first branch office solely constructed for BankOnBuffalo, it will be its most customer-centric with state of the art features aimed at making transactions and information gathering easier for bank customers. Key amenities include ready access to an Internet kiosk in a café-style lobby, free coffee station, open teller areas, digital signage, cash recyclers, enhanced teller machines, and coin counter. Drive-up banking and ample parking will also be available.
The 3,400-square foot building is designed by LaBella Associates and its architect, Rich Nardini. It will be part of a plaza developed by Consumer’s Beverages President Neil Kavanaugh. BRD Construction is the general contractor.
BankOnBuffalo began as a start-up division of CNB Bank with a loan origination office and in February 2017 opened a full-service bank branch on the first floor of the Electric Tower in downtown Buffalo. Since then, BankOnBuffalo has opened full-service branches in Orchard Park, Williamsville and Wheatfield, and created a private banking and wealth management service called BankOnBuffalo Investment Advisors.
Primary banking services available include consumer and business deposit accounts, real estate, commercial, industrial, residential and consumer loans and lines of credit, treasury services, online banking, mobile banking, merchant credit card processing, remote deposit, and accounts receivable handling.
BankOnBuffalo recently opened its regional headquarters on the historic, renovated seventh floor of the Electric Tower in February 2019. It also is looking to establish another branch in the Town of Amherst in the future.
As a community bank, BankOnBuffalo, a division of CNB Bank, is being developed by local people and businesses. This local decision-making increases the level of service provided to the communities in and around Buffalo and brings growth to the entire region.
